The ingredients needed to make Pepper rasam:
  1. Get 4 tsp Gooseberry size soaked tamarind
  2. Make ready 1 glass water
  3. Prepare 1 red chilli
  4. Take 1 tsp cumin powder roasted
  5. Get 1 tsp black pepper Powder
  6. Take 1 tsp cumin seeds
  7. Get 1 tsp mustard seeds
  8. Get Pinch turmeric powder
  9. Get Handful curry leaves
  10. Prepare Handful coriander leaves
  11. Get to taste Salt
  12. Prepare 1/2 tablespoon jaggery
  13. Make ready 4-5 garlic cloves
  14. Make ready 2 tbsp oil
Steps to make Pepper rasam:
  1. Soak tamarind for 30 mins
  2. Roast pepper and cumin seeds, grind it, slice garlic also.
  3. Take a pan and keep it on the stove. Once the pan heats add oil, once the oil heats add mustard and cumin seeds, once it starts crackle add red chiili, curry leaves, turmeric powder and then add tamarind juice, water into it.
  4. Once it boils add salt, add pepper and cumin powder, add garlic, add coriander leaves into it.
  5. Once it is done take it into a bowl and serve hot with rice.
