Steps to make Phulkopi Tyangrar Tel Jhol:
  1. Wash fish pieces in lukewarm water. Then sprinkle 1 tsp Turmeric powder and salt on them. Drizzle dollops of mustard oil. Rub it over fish pieces. Set aside for 15 minutes.
  2. Chop tomato and ginger slice. Make paste with green chilli.
  3. Pour Mustard oil in pan. Put the fish pieces in frying once oil becomes hot. Fry them golden and take out on a plate.
  4. Temper the same oil with 1 tsp sugar. Add 1 tsp Coriander Powder.Put the potato wedges for frying. Fry them for 2 minutes.
  5. Put the cauliflower pieces in the pan. Sprinkle salt and turmeric powder. Fry them golden and take out on a plate.
  6. Put the paste in pan. Add salt to taste. Saute till raw smell of masala goes away.
  7. Add the fried cauliflower and potato wedges. Coat them with the masala.
  8. Add water. Cook on high flame till water starts boiling.
  9. As water starts boiling, put the fish pieces. Lower the flame and let the fish pieces absorb the flavour.
