Prepare 3 Tomatoes
Prepare 1 Onion

Instructions to make Tomato coconut chutney:
Chop onions and tomatoes roughly
Heat a pan. Add 2 tsp oil
Fry urad dal, channa dal and red chilli. Once the dals turn light brown, take it out into a mixie jar
In the same pan, fry onions and garlic till the onions turn light pink
Add tomatoes and required salt. Fry until tomatoes soften nicely
Add tamarind and coconut and mix well for 2 min
Let the mixture cool down completely
Dry grind the mixie jar with the roasted dals+chilli
Add the onions+tomatoes mixture and grind to a thick chutney without adding water
Take the chutney into a bowl
Heat a pan. Add 1 tsp oil
Fry mustard till it splutters. Add curry leaves
Add the ground chutney and saute for 2-3 minutes
Take it out into a serving bowl
Serve with idlis, dosas or oothappams.
