Hey everyone, it’s Drew, welcome to my recipe page. Today, I will show you a way to prepare a distinctive dish, baklava. It is one of my favorites food recipes. For mine, I’m gonna make it a little bit unique. This will be really delicious.

Baklava is one of the most favored of current trending meals on earth. It’s enjoyed by millions daily. It is easy, it is quick, it tastes delicious. Baklava is something that I’ve loved my whole life. They are nice and they look wonderful.

To begin with this recipe, we must prepare a few components. You can cook baklava using 9 ingredients and 7 steps. Here is how you can achieve it.

The ingredients needed to make Baklava:
  1. Get 16 Phyllo Sheets
  2. Prepare 1 cup Chopped Mixed Nuts of your choice (pistachio, almonds & cashew)
  3. Make ready 100 grams Butter
  4. Prepare For the Sugar syrup (to pour on top)
  5. Take 1/4 cup Sugar
  6. Get 5 tbsp water
  7. Get 1 inch cinnamon stick
  8. Make ready 4-5 whole cardamom
  9. Get 1 lime (To prevent crystallisation)
Instructions to make Baklava:
  1. Melt the butter on low flame.
  2. Take one phyllo sheet & generously spread some butter on it, sprinkle some nuts, place one more phyllo sheet on it, brush it once again with some butter & sprinkle nuts.
  3. Roll it up using a chopstick or any thin stick. Pull it together to create beautiful creases. Make 7 to 8 of these or more depending the size of your tray. Cut it as desired.
  4. Place this in a baking tray & bake this on a pre heated oven at 180 degrees C for 25 to 30 mins or until it is golden.
  5. Remove it from the oven & while it is still hot, pour some sugar syrup on it.
  6. For making the sugar syrup, simply bring all the ingredients to a boil and let it cook down. Don’t over cook it else it will crystallise.
  7. Let it soak for 3 hours and then serve or you can store in an air tight container for upto a week.
