Baklava is one of the most favored of recent trending foods in the world. It is easy, it is fast, it tastes yummy. It is enjoyed by millions every day. They’re nice and they look wonderful. Baklava is something that I’ve loved my entire life.

To get started with this particular recipe, we must first prepare a few ingredients. You can have baklava using 6 ingredients and 9 steps. Here is how you can achieve it.

The ingredients needed to make Baklava:
  1. Get 1 lb unsalted butter
  2. Make ready 1 lb walnut meat
  3. Prepare 2 Tbsp cinnamon
  4. Make ready 2 cups sugar
  5. Take 1 cup honey
  6. Prepare 1 pack filo strudel dough
Steps to make Baklava:
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Melt butter on low heat. Chop the walnuts in a food processor.
  3. Take a large pan (12x8) and brush it with the melted butter. Place the layer of filo in the pan and butter it with a pastry brush. Repeat the process for the 11 layers of filo (half the filo dough).
  4. Mix 1 cup sugar, cinnamon, and chipped walnut meat. Spread the mixture on top of the layers of filo dough.
  5. Place another 11 layers of filo on top of the mixture, buttering each layer as done in a previous step.
  6. Cut the sheets into desired size and shape.
  7. Bake the cut sheet at 350 for 25 minutes.
  8. Add 1 cup water to 1 cup sugar and 1 cup honey in a sauce pan. Cook the mixture for 15 minutes on medium heat.
  9. Spread the syrup on the baked baklava.
