Hello everybody, it is John, welcome to our recipe site. Today, we’re going to make a distinctive dish, samosa. One of my favorites. This time, I will make it a little bit unique. This will be really delicious.

Samosa is one of the most popular of recent trending foods in the world. It is enjoyed by millions every day. It is easy, it is fast, it tastes delicious. They’re nice and they look fantastic. Samosa is something which I’ve loved my whole life.

To get started with this recipe, we have to first prepare a few components. You can have samosa using 17 ingredients and 15 steps. Here is how you can achieve that.

The ingredients needed to make Samosa:
  1. Prepare maida
  2. Get ajwain
  3. Make ready ghee
  4. Prepare Salt
  5. Prepare For stuffing
  6. Prepare potatoes
  7. Prepare green peas
  8. Prepare cumin seeds
  9. Get curry leaves
  10. Make ready green chili ginger paste
  11. Take haldi powder
  12. Get garam masala
  13. Make ready dry mango powder
  14. Take fennel seeds
  15. Get Salt
  16. Get oil

Instructions to make Samosa:
  1. Boil potatoes in salted water in pressure cooker until soft. After boiling transfer them to a colander to remove excess water. Peel the potatoes and chopped into small pieces.
  2. While potatoes are boiling. Let'sake a dough for crispy puter layer. Take maida, ajwain, ghee and salt in a bowl.
  3. Mix all the ingredients properly with hand. You will notice the mixture will turn crumbly after mixing. Now add water in multiple small quantities and knead firm dough.
  4. Cover it with cloth and let it set for 20 to 30 minutes
  5. When the dough is setting, let's start to make stuffing for samosa. Heat 2 tbs oil in kadai over medium flame. Add cumin seeds and curry leaves. Add chopped onion in it. Stir it for 2 minutes and add haldi in it.
  6. Stir it for 5 minutes. Now add chopped potatoes, green peas. Mix it.
  7. Add garam masala, salt, dry mango powder in it. Stir for 5 minutes.
  8. Turn off the flame and let it cool for a while at room temperature.
  9. After 20- 30 minutes, remove the wet cloth and knead the dough again until smooth. Divide it into small portions and make round shaped balls from it.
  10. Take one dough ball and press it between your palms to flatten it a little. Put it over rolling board and roll it out into round shaped like Puri. Cut it into two semi circle.
  11. Spread water with the wet finger or a brush on the edges. Take one semi circle and give it a shape of cone by folding it from both sides and pressing them to seal the sides.
  12. Put 2 tbs filling in the cone. Do not over fill the stuffing otherwise you will not be able to seal the edges properly. Wet the edges with finger and press it tightly with your finger to seal them. make all samosas in the same way.
  13. Heat oil in a kadai over medium flame. When oil is medium hot, add 2-3 samosa in it and reduce flame to low.
  14. Deep fry them on low to medium flame until they turn golden brown.
  15. Serve it with green chutney and sweet chutney.
