The ingredients needed to make Beetroot Brownie:
  1. Make ready 250 g unsalted butter
  2. Make ready 250 g cooked beetroot
  3. Get 250 g caster sugar
  4. Get 250 g dark chocolate (about 70% cocoa solids), broken into pieces
  5. Take 150 g self-raising flour
  6. Get 3 medium eggs
  7. Get 3 tbsp coco powder
Steps to make Beetroot Brownie:
  1. Grease a shallow baking tin, approximately 20 x 25cm, and line the base with baking parchment.
  2. Set the oven at 180°C/Gas Mark 4.
  3. Blend the sugar and butter in a mixer.
  4. Add the eggs, coco powder, ground almonds, beetroot and salt. Mix well.
  5. Melt the chocolate in a saucepan. Add to the rest of the ingredients.
  6. Pour the ingredients into your baking tray and cook in the oven for 20 mins. Test with a knife. If it comes out clean, take out of the oven. If it's still liquid, place back in the oven for 5 mins.
  7. Serve hot.
