Prepare 1 Cup Whole Green Moong Dal
Prepare 1 Onion chopped
Make ready 2 Garlic Crushed
Prepare 1/2 " Ginger Crushed
Make ready 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
Get 1 tsp Red chilli powder
Make ready leaves Few fresh Coriander
Get 1 tsp Cumin powder
Take 1 pinch Hing
Prepare 1 Tomato chopped
Prepare to taste Salt
Get Oil for frying
Instructions to make Moong Dal Fry:
Wash the dal twice properly. Boil in pressure cooker for 3 whistle. After 3 whistle. Switch of the gas. Cool it and take out lid. Once it is done. Keep aside.
Heat oil in kadai. Once the oil is hot. Add cumin seeds, few curry leaves and 1 dry red chilli. Let it crackle for few minutes.
Add chopped onion. Fry till it becomes light brown in colour. Then add chopped tomato, chopped green chilli, a pinch of crushed garlic and ginger. Saute it for few minutes.
Slow the flame add all the masala, hing. Saute it for few minutes. Once it is done. Add boil dal. Mix it properly. Add water as needed. Add salt to taste. Cook till it becomes gravy.
Transfer to a bowl. Garnish with coriander leaves and add little butter. Now it is ready to serve Hot…Moong dal fry with garlic nan
