The ingredients needed to make Moong Dal & Methi Bhajia:
  1. Prepare 2 cups soaked moong dal
  2. Take Handful finely chopped methi leaves
  3. Prepare 5-6 finely chopped green chillies
  4. Take 1 big onion finely chopped
  5. Take 1 Small piece of ginger grated
  6. Take as per taste Red chilli powder
  7. Take 1 tsp garam masala
  8. Prepare Pinch hing
  9. Prepare 1 tsp ajwain
  10. Prepare 11/2 tsp jeera powder
  11. Make ready Pinch turmeric
  12. Prepare to taste Salt
  13. Get 1 tsp chaat masala
  14. Make ready as needed Oil for frying
Steps to make Moong Dal & Methi Bhajia:
  1. Wash and soam moong dal for at least 4 hrs. Drain the water and jeep 2 tbsp dal aside.
  2. Grind the remaining dal to a smooth paste without adding water.
  3. Add 2tbsp of soaked dal to the batter. Add finely chopped onions, green chillies, grated ginger, finely chopped methi leaves, sakta to taste, chaat masala, jeera powder, garam masala, ajwain, turmeric and hing.
  4. Keep oil for frying.. Take a spoonful of batter and pour in hot oil and deep fry on medium flame till nice golden and crisp. 8
  5. Serve hot with spicy chutney.
