  1. Make ready 2 cups Moong Dal
  2. Make ready 1 bunch methi finely chopped

  7. Take 2 tablespoons oil

  1. Soak yellow moong dal for 2 hours.
  2. Take a heavy bottom vessel. Add oil and when it is hot add hing and whole Red chillies.
  3. Now add Dal and Methi. Saute for 2 mins.
  4. Add enough water just to cook dal. We don't want messy dal.
  5. When water is reduced add haldi and salt and cover the pot and cook till dal is done.
  6. Serve either with puris or hot chapatis.
