  7. Get 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
  8. Take 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

  11. Make ready 2 tsp Coriander leaves for garnishing
  12. Prepare For tempering
  13. Get 2 tablespoons oil

  16. Make ready 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
Steps to make Dal Masoor with capsicum:
  1. Firstly I have washed & soaked dal Masoor for about an hour further to start cooking I have chopped onions & capsicum now take a Kadhai add oil while it’s warm drop in cumin seeds,mustard seeds & curry leaves sauté for a minute next add ginger garlic paste sauté again until it’s slightly brown
  2. Further add in the chopped onions,capsicum let it fry until onions are golden brown now pop in the soaked dal Masoor then pop in all spices except salt & Garam masala powder
  3. Add water accordingly as the soaked dal already had some water & it will cook faster as it was soaked so add only the level of dal is covered it’s a regular quantity cover the lid for only 3-4 minutes it must be done. Don’t over cook or let it mashed it must be cooked like it’s not sticky as shown in the picture below at this point add salt,Garam masala powder,coriander leaves mix it with light hands for a minute then off the flame burner.
  4. The deliciously awesome breakfast recipe of dal Masoor with capsicum is ready to serve with hot chapatis,salad,boiled egg a complete breakfast meal combination. Enjoy with your loved ones.
