  1. Get 2 tsp Cumin seeds
  2. Make ready 1 medium sized onion chopped

  5. Prepare 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  6. Take 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  7. Prepare to taste Salt
  8. Make ready 1 tsp Coriander powder
  9. Make ready 1 medium sized tomato Chopped
  10. Prepare 3/4 cup Whole saboot masoor dal
  11. Prepare 1/2 tsp Crushed dry mint leaves
  12. Get 1/2 tsp Lemon powder
  13. Prepare 1 tsp Garam masala
  14. Get 2 tsp Coriander leaves choopped
  15. Take 1 tbsp Desi ghee
  16. Take 2-3 tbsp Oil
  17. Take 1 tsp Green chilli choopped
Instructions to make Malka Masoor Dal:
  1. Wash and soak masoor dal for 4-5 hours.
  2. Then in pressure cooker add oil first in that add jeera and let it crackle. Now add choopped onion, ginger and garlic saute little bit then add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, choopped tomato, and salt.
  3. In that add soaked dal and roast little bit then add water (in 3x amount of dal). Now cover the lid of cooker and cook for 3-4 whistles.
  4. When the pressure is realesed open the cooker and cook on low flame and add green chilli, dried mint leaves, jullian ginger, lemon powder, garam masala and coriander leaves choopped.
  5. In a tadka pan add ghee, and add cumin seeds in that, let it crackle then add half ring sized onion, and fry it till becomes brown. Then add red chilli powder. Now add this tadka on the dal.and your Malka masoor dal is ready. Garnish with fresh cream. Enjoy with chapati or rice.
