  1. Get 1 cup black urad or black urad dal
  2. Get 1 cup rajma/kidney beans
  3. Prepare 3/4 cup onion puree
  4. Prepare 1/2 cup tomato puree
  5. Make ready 3/4 cup cashew paste
  6. Take to taste Salt
  7. Make ready 1 tsp red chilli powder
  8. Take 1/2 tsp turmeric powder

  12. Prepare 2 tbsp butter
  13. Get 2 tbsp fresh cream
  14. Prepare 1 tsp kasuri methi

Instructions to make Dal Makhani:
  1. Soak black urad or dal and rajma overnight
  2. Pressure cook for 5 whistles.
  3. In a kadai heat butter, add whole garam masala, saute onion puree for 4-5 minutes. Then add tomato puree and cook for another 5 minutes. Add the spices.
  4. Once cooked add the cashew paste. Cook for 2 minutes.
  5. Add water and let it boil
  6. Add the boiled urad and rajma. Add kasuri methi. Garnish with chopped fresh coriander leaves and fresh cream.
