Instructions to make Punjabi Chana dhal Kichidi:
  1. In a cooker add ghee, jeera hing cinnamon stick bay leaf and let it splutter then add onions and ginger garlic paste and saute till raw smell goes.
  2. Soak Chana dhal overnight and add it to the onion, followed by water turmeric powder garam masala powder and rice. Mix all well and pressure cook it for 3 whistles. Let it settle open add salt to taste and serve with onion raita. For Raita to curds add salt onion and tadka with oil mustard seeds hing and green chilli.
