  1. First wash dhal and rice well. Then add ghee into a small pan add jeera pepper turmeric hing and ginger curry pata to it saute till cooked, add this to the washed dhal and rice and cook for 7 whistles(do not add salt before whistle) Once the pressure cooker cool take out the kichidi and add 1 teaspoon salt or as per taste.Serve with Onion Raita.
  2. Onion Raita: Make the tadka and add to mixture of curds with onions and salt.
