  1. Make ready 2 onions (chopped)
  2. Take 5 tomatoes (chopped)
  3. Prepare 3 spring curry leaves
  4. Take 4-5 green chillies

  6. Prepare 1 tsp mustard seeds
  7. Get 1 tsp urad dhal
  8. Prepare 2 tsp chanadhal

Instructions to make Tomato Thokku:
  1. Heat oil in kadai, add mustard seeds after it cracks add urad dhal and chanadhal fry till golden brown.
  2. Add fennel seeds, curry leaves and green chillies.
  3. Next add chopped onions, saute till golden brown. Add ginger garlic paste and saute till raw smell disappears.
  4. Then add turmeric powder and red chilli powder. Mix well.
  5. Add tomatoes and salt. Mix well. Cook till mushy and oil separates from kadai.
