Hey everyone, it’s me, Dave, welcome to our recipe page. Today, I’m gonna show you how to prepare a special dish, adai. It is one of my favorites. This time, I am going to make it a little bit unique. This will be really delicious.

Adai is one of the most popular of recent trending meals in the world. It’s easy, it is fast, it tastes yummy. It’s appreciated by millions every day. Adai is something which I’ve loved my whole life. They are fine and they look wonderful.

To begin with this particular recipe, we must prepare a few ingredients. You can have adai using 16 ingredients and 10 steps. Here is how you can achieve that.

The ingredients needed to make Adai:
  1. Prepare For dosa batter-
  2. Take 1 1/2 cup idli rice
  3. Make ready 1/2 cup raw rice
  4. Get 1/2 cup toor dal
  5. Get 1/2 cup chanadal
  6. Take 2 tbsp urad dhal
  7. Get 1 tbsp moong dhal
  8. Get 7 red chillies
  9. Get as per taste Salt
  10. Make ready as required Water
  11. Get as required Sesame Oil
  12. Make ready For tempering-
  13. Make ready 2 Onions
  14. Take Few curry leaves
  15. Take Few coriander leaves
  16. Make ready 1 tsp Cumin seeds
Instructions to make Adai:
  1. Soak the rice and all the dals mentioned above for 2-3 hours with required water.
  2. After 3 hours in a blender add the red chillies and soaked rice and dals and grind it into a slightly coarse batter. Grind it in two batches. The batter should be a little thick and not runny as regular dosa batter.
  3. Finely chop the onions, curry leaves and the coriander leaves.
  4. Add the chopped veggies to the batter and also add the roasted cumin seeds to the batter.
  5. Heat a dosa tawa on high flame, when it's hot start making adai. Sprinkle sesame oil around and over adai for good taste and flavour. This makes your adai crispy and flavourful. Flip the adai and cook it on both the sides.
  6. Serve hot, crispy adai with coconut chutney or jaggery. In some hotels, they are served with Aviyal also.

  8. Notes:1) Don't soak the rice and dals more than 3 hours.it will result in a very smooth batter.
  9. 2)Don't blend the batter into a smooth paste then it will taste like a dal dosa only not like adai.
  10. 3)you can fry the cumin seeds,onion and curry leaves in 2 tsp of oil and add it to the batter.
