  1. Finely chop all the veggies.
  2. In a kadhai add 1 tbsp of oil,once hot add the ingredients given in the tempering section. First add mustard seeds and wait for it to splatter to add the remaining ingredients.
  3. Add onion and capsicum and fry till soft.
  4. Add 4 cups of water and required salt. Wait for the water to boil.
  5. Now add the vermicelli and give a stir.
  6. Cook on medium flame till the vermicelli cooks up fully.
  7. Enjoy the vermicelli upma with a fantastic coconut chutney.
