  1. Make ready 1 cup rava(sooji)
  2. Take 1/2 cup hyacinth beans
  3. Take to taste Salt
  4. Make ready 2 green chilli
  5. Take 1/2 teaspoon hing(asafoetida)
  6. Prepare 1/4 cup coconut
  7. Take 1/2 inch ginger
  8. Prepare Handful coriander leaves
  9. Take Handful curry leaves
  10. Get 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
  11. Take 1/2 teaspoon urad dhal
  12. Get 1/2 teaspoon chanadhal
  13. Get 2 teaspoon ghee
Instructions to make Hyacinth beans Rava Upma:
  1. First add one teaspoon of ghee and roast the rava till golden brown.Keep aside. Next step is to grind coconut ginger coriander and green chilli.
  2. Now take oil in a Kadai heat it add mustard seeds let it crackle then add urad dhal and chanadhal and let it become light brown. Now add curry leaves and hing. Sauté for one min then add the beans with salt for the beans boil with required water by closing it with a lid. Cook well.
  3. Add in coconut mixture and sauté for two mins then add 4 cups of water 1/2 teaspoon of salt mix and bring it to a boil, once boiled add the rava slowly and stir while pouring in the rava else it will form lumps. Tip better to use a whisk to mix in the rava in boiling water. Let the rava absorb the water and cook well. Serve with pickle of your choice.
  4. Tip chopping coriander gives a different taste, when ground it gives a awesome aromat flavour, so will recommend grinding rather than chopping it and garnish at end.
