The ingredients needed to make Simple Dal:
  1. Prepare 1/2 cup toor dal
  2. Take 1/2 cup massor dal
  3. Take 1 small onion
  4. Get 1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste
  5. Prepare 2 green chilli
  6. Prepare 1/2 teaspoon Dhaniya powder
  7. Get Oil for tadka and to cook dhal
  8. Make ready 1 teaspoon Lemon
  9. Take Coriander to garnish
  10. Take 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds and jeera
  11. Get Hing little bit
  12. Take 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric
  13. Take handful Curry pata
Steps to make Simple Dal:
  1. First pressure cook the two dhals with little oil in a pressure cooker for 5 to 6 whistle. Keep aside.
  2. Take a kadai add oil mustard seed jeera hing turmeric curry pata and sauté it. Then add onion ginger garlic paste and cook well. Now add the cooked dhal with salt and simmer for 3 mins and stirring in intervals. Add water if required.Switch off and squeeze lemon. Garnish with coriander leaves.
