  1. Dry roast varargu with dhal in thick bottom pan for 2 minutes. Then wash it and rinse the water thoroughly. in a cooker add Varagu rice and dhal with salt and water make it for 3-4 whistles.
  2. In a separate pan, add ghee in it add chopped ginger, cumin pepper,hing and curry leaves.
  3. After the cooker gets cool in room temperature add roasted ingredients in that Varagu rice and mix well if u want add some more ghee. Healthy kodo millet/Varagu rice Pongal is ready to eat,u can enjoy it with coconut chutney as best combination.
