Hey everyone, it’s John, welcome to my recipe site. Today, we’re going to make a special dish, egg tart. It is one of my favorites. This time, I will make it a bit unique. This will be really delicious.

Egg Tart is one of the most well liked of current trending foods in the world. It is simple, it’s fast, it tastes yummy. It is enjoyed by millions every day. Egg Tart is something that I’ve loved my whole life. They are nice and they look wonderful.

To begin with this particular recipe, we must prepare a few ingredients. You can cook egg tart using 14 ingredients and 12 steps. Here is how you cook that.

The ingredients needed to make Egg Tart:
  1. Get Pastry dough
  2. Make ready 2 cups flour
  3. Take 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  4. Take 115 g butter
  5. Prepare 1/8 tsp salt
  6. Make ready 1 egg whisk
  7. Make ready Drop vanilla
  8. Make ready Custard filling
  9. Make ready 4 eggs beaten
  10. Get 4 tbsp sugar
  11. Take 3/4 cup hot water
  12. Make ready 1/8 tsp salt
  13. Make ready 1/4 cup evaporated milk
  14. Prepare Milk flavor or vanilla (opt)
Steps to make Egg Tart:
  1. Cream butter and sugar until smooth, fluffy and light in colour
  2. Add egg and vanilla flavor. Mix well
  3. Sift flour in two batches and add to the egg mixture. Mix till well combined and knead into a dough
  4. Roll out dough to 1/2cm thickness. Cut dough with a round cookie cutters or you can use you hand to form it
  5. Line the dough in the middle of your tart tin. Lightly press the dough down and with your thumbs, start forming the bottom then up to the sides. Trim away the excess dough as shown in the picture below
  6. Custard making: add sugar into hot water mix until completely dissolved. Whisk egg with evaporated or milk powder. Pour in sugar water. Add milk flavor and mix well
  7. Sift the egg mixture in a separate bowl or measuring cup. Pour egg mixture into tart shell
  8. Preheat oven to 200°C. and bake tart for 10-15min until edges are lightly brown. Lower heat to 180°C and keep an eye on them. Once the custard puffed up a bit, pull the oven door open a bit. Bake for another 10-15min until custard is cooked or toothpick stand on it's own in the custard. See picture below
  9. Tadaa!!! Ready. Enjoy
  10. Note: you can choose to reduce or add more sugar to your custard. Addition of flavor also enhance the taste and if you're using salted butter, there's no need to add more salt
